Maria De Luca, played by Majandra Delfino is most probably the most pleasurable character on Roswell to watch, with her witty comments and sassy attitude she is just not unlikable Maria is the ultimate image of girl power and femininity, she brings some much needed comic relief to the show and with her humour she is almost able to lighten the atmosphere of any typically intense Roswell scene. Her strong friendship with Liz and Alex, reveals Her caring side and Her loyalty to the people that she loves. It is almost impossible to think how Liz would have coped with all the events in Roswell without Maria being around to shed some reality onto a situation. Maria's character has developed with relationship with Michael, whom she has fallen hopelessly in love with, some would say that they are totally unsuited for each other, but it is obvious that their personalities compliment each other. They are both very strong and passionate characters, their constant arguments and verbal banter highlights what is so great about their relationship, and why it is so much fun to watch them on screen. It is very obvious that they hold strong feelings for each other, even if they refuse to admit it. In the second series, their relationship has been propelled into another direction with the revelation that Michael and Isabel are meant to be mates. Although at this moment in time, both Michael and Maria, especially Michael refuse to acknowledge what effect this may have to their relationship, it is inevitable that they will have to come face to face with this problem in the future. The ultimate question being 'Will their relationship withstand time and be able stand all the problems that lay ahead ?? |
